Terms of Service
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to Account:dir at accountdir.com and its related applications and services (the "Service"). The Service is operated by EV Time LLC. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account.
2. What the Service does
Account:dir helps you organize the digital accounts you choose to enter, including their providers, sign-in email addresses, usernames, projects, costs, billing cycles, renewal dates, notes, and tags. Some plans also offer an encrypted vault for secrets. The Service does not automatically discover all accounts you own, verify the accuracy of information you enter, renew or cancel your third-party subscriptions, or act as your agent with those providers.
You are responsible for the content and accuracy of your records and for keeping copies of information you cannot afford to lose. Dates and cost summaries are based on the information you enter and may not reflect actual charges or provider changes.
3. Your account and data
Keep your sign-in credentials and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account, except where caused by our breach of these Terms or applicable law. Tell us promptly at support@accountdir.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You retain ownership of the information and secrets you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content to you and to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not acquire ownership of Your Content.
Only enter information that you have the right to use. Do not use the Service to store another person's credentials or personal information without appropriate authorization. Our Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms.
4. Vault and recovery
Vault secrets are encrypted in your browser before they are sent to our servers. Your vault passphrase is not sent to us, and we cannot decrypt your vault for you. You are responsible for safeguarding your passphrase and recovery key. If both are lost, we may be unable to restore access to encrypted secrets. This does not necessarily affect your ability to sign in or access non-vault account records.
The encryption of vault secrets does not mean every item in your account is encrypted with your vault passphrase. Account metadata needed to provide search, project views, cost summaries, billing, and support is processed separately, as described in our Privacy Policy and Security page.
5. Plans, trial, and payment
Current plan features and prices are shown before purchase. A seven-day trial requires no payment card. The trial does not automatically turn into a paid subscription. When it ends without a Pro subscription, existing records remain visible but adding or changing records and using Pro features may be restricted, as described in the plan information shown in the Service.
Pro is offered at US$5.99 per month or US$49 per year, unless a different price, currency, tax, or promotion is clearly shown at checkout. By choosing a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges through our payment processor at the interval you select until you cancel. Applicable taxes and any change in price will be disclosed as required before they apply. We do not receive your full payment card number from Stripe.
You can review and cancel your subscription through the Billing page at /command-center/billing by selecting "Manage subscription," which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; Pro access continues until the end of the current paid period. Your records remain available in accordance with your plan and our retention practices. If payment fails, we may retry payment, notify you, and limit paid features.
6. Refunds
Fees already paid are generally nonrefundable. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time after cancellation, except where required by law or for billing errors. Contact support@accountdir.com about billing errors or refund requests. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer right.
7. Availability, changes, and third-party services
We work to keep the Service available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, modify, or discontinue features, with notice when a change materially affects paid access or your data, as required by law. We may update these Terms and will give appropriate notice of material changes. Continued use after the effective date of a change means acceptance where permitted by law; otherwise, you may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
Providers you record in Account:dir and third-party sites linked from the Service have their own terms and practices. We do not control those services or their charges, availability, or security.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion from /command-center/data or support@accountdir.com. Account deletion closes your Account:dir account, cancels any associated Stripe subscription, and ends access to the Service; it is distinct from canceling a subscription while keeping your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy a violation. Your ability to export data before closure may be limited where access must be restricted for security or legal reasons. Data handling after closure is described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that reminders, costs, or renewal information will be accurate or timely. You remain responsible for your own accounts, third-party subscriptions, backups, and payment decisions.
To the extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, arising from the Service. Our total liability for claims arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where law prohibits it, or to liability that cannot legally be limited, including fraud or willful misconduct.
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer protection law requires otherwise. Courts located in Los Angeles County, California will have jurisdiction over disputes, except where applicable law gives you a different right.
